First of all, we will have sixth seed Miomir Kecmanovic who impressed yesterday defeating Ugo Humbert 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. The Serbian produced a strong display after he had lost the first set and he broke Humbert three times in the last two sets en route to claiming victory.
He is now into his second semi-final of the year after also repeating the feat in Doha, there he will meet Kyle Edmund.
The Briton won a thriller against Soonwoo Kwon 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 in what was a close encounter throughout and for Edmund it will be his first chance to play potentially in a ATP Tour Level final since winning in Antwerp in 2018.
The other semi-final sees a player who just seems to be getting better and better in New York and that is Jason Jung. He dumped out defending champion Reilly Opelka to reach his first ATP Tour semi-final and the Chinese Taipei ace who has only claimed 7 tour wins, five of which are in this event will face Andreas Seppi.
Seppi saw off Jordan Thompson 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 as he searches for his first final since 2019 Sydney. An interesting night awaits.
