Jannik Sinner returned to the courts on Tuesday in Cologne and he was very quick in his decisive victory over Duckworth.
The wider tennis fanbase found out about Jannik Sinner during his stellar Roland Garros run and he returned to the courts on Tuesday. His opponent in the bett1HULKS championship was Duckworth and Sinner defeating him 6-1 6-2 in 61 minutes.
The opening set lasted only 23 minutes and it was the young Italian dominate in all parts of the game. The result was 6-1 and he looked superb. A very good 1st serve hit percentage at 71 % and a 90 % conversion rate of those points were more than enough for him to smash James in the opening set. The Australian struggled immensely on both serves especially the 2nd where he won only 3 of 13 points.
The start of the 2nd set featured much better play from the Australian especially as the set went on. In the 5th game he troubled Sinner quite a bit even giving himself a chance to break the Italian which he ultimately failed to do. The very next game brought a very determined Sinner who understood it was time to end the match and he stringed together some stellar points to break Duckworth and take a 4-2 lead. From there it was rather easy for Sinner to end the match and advance to the next round.
