Spanish tennis star Alejandro Davidovich Fokina gets engaged at the Trevi Fountain to long-time girlfriend

Happy news for Alejandro Davidovich Fokina as 2024 continues with the Spanish tennis star announcing his engagement to girlfriend, Paloma Amatiste after a proposal at the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Davidovich Fokina reached a career high of World No.21 in August 2023 and has been consistently on the rise with a Quarter-Final at the French Open back in 2021 and the fourth round of the US Open in 2020 and 2022 establishing himself as Spain's second top tennis star behind Carlos Alcaraz.

His fiancé, Amatiste is the Head of Product Development for a womenswear company and graduated from the Isituto Europeo di Design with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Styling and Product Management. They have previously appeared at the 2023 Laver Cup with Davidovich Fokina also using his social media to share photos of them in the Maldives and Dubai on holiday.

On the verge of February, Davidovich Fokina took her to one of the world's most iconic landmarks to propose with the usual coin toss ritual. A coin is tossed over your shoulder into the water and making a wish and it seems the Spaniard's wish was his proposal to be accepted as he presented the ring to his girlfriend who said yes. "forever and ever 💍" Davidovich Fokina captioned the post with a diamond ring emoji. Congratulations to the happy couple.
