Srdjan Djokovic 'will never forgive' grandson for supporting rival football team despite Novak Djokovic accepting decision

Srdjan Djokovic has stated that he will ‘never forget’ his grandson for supporting a rival football team.

It is believed that the majority of the Djokovic clan supports Partizan Belgrade but the son of Novak Djokovic is supporting their city rival Crvena Zvezda.

Srdjan stated that while Novak has accepted his son’s decision but he will never forgive her ‘grandson’ for that decision.

"What does Novak say: 'I support Partizan whenever they are not playing against Zvezda,” he said. “It's our (Serbian) team after all. And of course he will support Partizan when they play against some other teams, Real or Barcelona or whoever.

"And Stefan is great, but a really great kid. I watch him grow into a smart and very handsome boy. He loves tennis above all, and now he has come to love Partizan too, I don't know how.

"Grandpa can never forgive him for that. He loves Partizan. He started cheering for Partizan because he likes the atmosphere. Stefan is a very nice boy, really."

Djokovic remains one of the most successful players in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era, having won as many as 23 Grand Slams in his career.
