Stefanos Tsitsipas eases into Mallorca quarterfinals over Ivashka

Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Ilya Ivashka once more this year with the Greek player moving on to the next round in Mallorca 6-4 6-4.

It was a fairly solid match from Tsitsipas who looked better in Mallorca than in Halle. The conditions allowed him to play more aggressively and there were more chances due to the serve being not as deadly as in Halle. For the most part, Tsitsipas controlled the match rather well from the start. Ivashka had trouble in many service games and eventually, Stefanos got the 6-4 opening set win.

It was just an overall solid performance not allowing a single break point in the set which was very good for him. The 2nd set was quite similar but both players played a bit better. Ivashka did not allow that many chances but the one he did allow was converted by Tsitsipas. It was all he needed because on his serve he was superb dropping only a handful of points.

Overall a great win for Stefanos who moves on to the quarterfinals. He's looking better and better on grass which is a welcome sight with Wimbledon starting next week.
