Svitolina 'will ask' husband Monfils to win French Open for home crowd as both gear up for return

Elina Svitolina held a Q and A session on Instagram confirming her return to tennis later this year but she also dropped some other tidbits; one about her husband Monfils.

The duo have been absent from tennis for a while as Svitolina was pregnant and Monfils was battling injuries. He's in Indian Wells this week where he'll make a return to tennis while Svitolina is targeting a return on clay. She answered numerous questions during a Q and A session and was once a plea to ask Monfils to win the French Open.

French tennis hasn't been having the best of days recently and native fans are hoping to see it thrive again. One fan wants Monfils to win the French Open as the people need and Svitolina promised to ask him.
