The ATP 500 in Basel final is effectively the battle of winning streaks as the Auger-Aliassime takes on
Holger Rune with both of them having active winning streaks.
Auger-Aliassime is playing for the 3rd consecutive week and he'll be in a final once more. In the two previous finals, in Florence and Antwerp, he won but this one will be his toughest yet. The Canadian has now won 12 matches in a row with a chance to make it 13 tomorrow.
He would also achieve the fairly rare feat of being a champion for 3 weeks in a row. His opponent Holger Rune also won a trophy last week and he is also on a winning streak albeit his is 'only' 9 matches. It's going to be an amazing final between two players who are playing superb tennis at the moment.
The stakes are pretty high for both as Rune is trying to break into the top 20 with Auger-Aliassime battling for a place in Turin. A triumph could ensure his qualification so he'll certainly like to get it done tomorrow. We will have a report for you as soon as the match finishes with the final starting at 15:00 CET.
