Denis Shapovalov in Vienna 1-6 6-4 3-6 which leaves his ATP Finals Turin chances very minimal.
The American is battling for a spot at the ATP Finals in Turin and he needs deep run to finish off the year. His
Vienna Open run ended in round two when Denis Shapovalov produced a brutal effort to take him down in three sets.
To make things worse, Fritz asked for a medical timeout due to some foot issue which leaves Paris in doubt as of now. The match itself opened extremely well for Shapovalvo who applied heavy pressure on his opponent and Fritz could not hit anything.
He proved much better in the second set finding a very good rhythm and finally putting forward a strong showing. He took the set 6-4 which sent us into a 3rd and it was a good one early. However, Fritz soon ran into issues with his movement and Shapovalov as able to cruise to a 6-3 finish.
