There are certain records in sports that seem likely to get ever broken and let's look at four from tennis that fit that description.
Tennis has many records and many have been and will be broken but some seem destined to stand forever. You probably have a few of those in mind but we'll refresh your memory with some of them. The youngest player to ever win a professional match was Mary Joe Fernandez who did it aged 13 and it doesn't seem likely that anyone will ever break that.
The reason is simple, there is a rule that forbids players under the age of 14 to compete in professional tennis tournaments. As long as that rule stands so will the record. The longest match of all time is probably what all tennis fans know and when you consider that it ended 70-68 in the 5th set then it's getting pretty clear why it will never be broken.
Eleven hours in total was the match between Isner and Mahut and under current rules, such a score can't ever be replicated. Martina Navratilova holds the record for most career titles at 354 and it's unlikely anybody ever reaches that, mostly because top players rarely play singles and doubles as she did.
Esther Vergeer holds the record for the longest winning streak in tennis at 470 matches but it's important to note that that's in wheelchair tennis. It counts but it's unlikely ever to be broken considering how difficult it is.
