Nick Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal played a superb match in the Indian Wells quarterfinal and ANdy Roddick closely followed.
The former world number one responded to a tweet by a reporter who got a chuckle out of a situation in which Kyrgios called Nadal lucky after a rally. Kyrgios made the comment toward his box and Roddick wasted no time in voicing his opinion on the matter on Twitter.
The original comment said:
"Kyrgios saying to his team, without a hint of irony or sarcasm, that @RafaelNadal “is so lucky” — is one of the most unintentionally funny takes I’ve ever heard. So lucky he’s won 21 majors."
Roddick responded with:
"What is the old saying? The harder one works, the luckier they tend to get? …….. seems applicable here"
