Roger Federer is a name that will forever be associated with tennis but his children were quite amazed to find out just how good he was.
Roger Federer is widely regarded as one of the best tennis players to ever play the game and a lot even consider him the best to ever play the game. His style of play and the grace with which he plays the game has been admired by many tennis fans and players alike. His children however were largely unaware of that and only found out through friends.
In a funny story revealed by Federer for the Ringier Magazine he explained how his kids found out about their dad and his achievements in the game of tennis. He said:
"For a long time, my kids had no idea of my achievements. They found out from their friends that their dad was once number one in the world. They were pretty amazed. We never made my success a big topic at home."
It's in line with what Federer has talked about ever since becoming a father noting that he won't push his children into tennis if they don't want to.
