Dominic Thiem will face Taylor Fritz later today with two matches in one day for the Austrian as he reaches the Quarter-Finals at the BMW Open in Munich.
Thiem saw off Marc-Andrea Huesler coming from a set down to seal it 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 in a three set thriller in Germany.
Since splitting from his long-time coach, Thiem seems to be finding himself on clay again and since Estoril has won five out of his last seven matches and reached the Quarter-Finals in two out of his last three tournaments.
This match was initially restarted after it was suspended due to darkness last night as Huesler sat at 7-5, 3-3 but it was the Swiss ace that did not benefit from this as Thiem recovered to prevail.
