Dominic Thiem was dumped out in his first match at the Western & Southern Open on Monday losing out 6-2, 6-1 to Filip Krajinovic in a major blow ahead of the US Open.

Thiem has probably been the most active player during lockdown and looked in good condition ahead of his opening test.
The Austrian has been tipped by many as the player to watch at Flushing Meadows but slumped out winning just two points in the whole match on Krajinovic's serve.
“It was just a horrible game by myself,” Thiem said following the match. “I didn’t play well at all, didn’t get any rhythm.
“I had really troubles with returning.”
