The World No.3 was forced to pull out of the last two weekends of the event, citing other commitments. These most likely involve his participation at his own Thiem's 7 tournament, which features 7 players that were personally invited by Thiem himself.

Although the Austrian seemed sad to withdraw, he stated that he loved the format and would likely participate in any future editions. The UTS has been a huge success, given it's unique rules and presentation. With just two weekends left before it's conclusion, there is already discussion of making this an annual event.
