Roger Federer's former rival and a big friend Tim Henman is excited to see Roger on the practice court, wishing him a quick recovery and a successful season.
Federer hasn't played since the last year's Australian Open, undergoing two knee surgeries in February and May and skipping the rest of the season. In October, the Swiss hit the practice court and moved to Dubai in December with his coach Ivan Ljubicic, working hard on his game and hoping to make a return in March.
Federer wasn't ready to compete at the Australian Open in February, but he is motivated to try another push and extend his career, setting eyes on Wimbledon and the Olympic Games if he stays healthy in the rest of the season.
"Roger Federer's return is massive news; I still believe he draws the biggest crowd. He has been out for so long, and we should hope he will endure the rehab process and make a strong return.
It's great to see Roger's desire for the sport at this stage of his career, and we should all hope he can get ready for Wimbledon and the Olympic Games," Tim Henman said.
