The new tennis season is just around the corner, with two ATP 250 tournaments taking place in the next seven days in Antalya and Delray Beach.
Some players gathered to train together around the new year, sharing the practice court and shaping their game ahead of their first matches or the Melbourne trip. Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Zverev, Fabio Fognini and Stan Wawrinka hit the court in Monte Carlo, embracing intense practice sessions and preparing everything ahead of the ATP Cup, two ATP 250 Melbourne events and the Australian Open.
Zverev finished inside the top-7 for the fourth straight year, winning 28 matches and fighting for Major titles. Following the Australian Open semi-final, the German served for the US Open trophy against Dominic Thiem, wasting his chances and losing in five thrilling sets.
By the end of the season, Alexander won two titles in Cologne and competed in the Paris Masters final, losing it to Daniil Medvedev. Fabio Fognini is returning after undergoing surgery on both ankles, getting back at his best slowly and signing to play Antalya and the ATP Cup.
Stan Wawrinka remained in the top-20 for another year, while Felix Auger-Aliassime seeks the first ATP title in 2021, losing six finals so far.
