The ex-coach of the former world number one Andre Agassi, Brad Gilbert, has reacted to a video on social media where legendary Swiss tennis star Roger Federer can be seen practising against the wall.
The 42-year-old retired from the sport in September 2022 after continues struggle with fitness concerns. Since then, he has not played any professional tennis matches.
However, Federer excited the fans on social media as he posted a video of himself practising against the wall.
Agassi’s former coach Gilbert, in a post on his official account on social media platform X—previously known as Twitter — stated it was ‘tremendous’ to see someone like Federer playing again. "Such a great way to get in a hit at any level, tremendous seeing Fed play on the wall,” he wrote.
Federer is often regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era. He was the first player in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category to win more than 15 Grand Slam titles.
That’s not it as he was also the first men’s player ever to win 20 Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career. His most successful competition was Wimbledon where he ended up lifting the title eight times which is a record in the competition’s history.
