Stefanos Tsitsipas is back in the win column after beating
Denis Shapovalov in straight sets 6-3 6-2 at the
Barcelona Open which was a welcome sight after his Monte-Carlo exit.
Tsitsipas didn't play that well in Monte-Carlo losing quite early in the event but he returned to winning ways at the Barcelona Open beating Shapovalov. It was supposed to be a very exciting match but Shapovalov didn't really show up as he produced a rather lacklustre effort, especially with his serve.
His serve can be quite up and down but it was dreadful today with 12 double faults in only 17 games of play. That's just not good enough and Tsitsipas was able to take advantage of that by winning the match rather comfortably in two sets. He broke Shapovalov twice in both sets and four times in total in the convincing win.
