The US Open is set to take place as scheduled on August 31, it has been revealed.

While the Cincinnati tuneup is being moved to Queens to be played the week before.
The USTA has negotiated a tennis restart plan with both the ATP and WTA which has been approved. With only approval from state health officials needed for the plan to take place.
As a result, the Citi Open would move from Washington D.C to Flushing on Aug 16; with the Western & Southern Open set for the week prior allowing for a three week bubble and also match practice for players.
This comes after the previous announcement that the tournament would potentially continue behind closed doors.
The likelihood of the Big Three being there is a debate though with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic not 100% on playing in this environment. Roger Federer is of course injured so won’t be involved anyhow.
