The World No.20 defeated Roman Safiullin in a close three-set match on Monday, rallying from a set down to prevail. The Atlanta native capped off a brilliant performance, as he continues to make waves at his debut in the Masters tournament.
Shelton comes close to defeat when cutting his birthday cake
In a video posted to social media, Shelton was seen celebrating his birthday with a birthday cake and candles. However, he almost lost his battle against the cake, as he faced difficulty when trying to cut it. Nonetheless, after applying some more effort accompanied by his signature grunts, he was able to get the knife through the cake.
