A celebration which has since gone viral, Ben Shelton hung up the phone again during his thrilling Shanghai Masters win over Jannik Sinner earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
Shelton who will now face compatriot Sebastian Korda in the Quarter-Finals took down Sinner who won in China last week 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 in the end.
He has finally backed up a week not in a Grand Slam with multiple wins and it was a celebration befitting of his biggest win ever in terms of ranking.
A celebration that was copied by Novak Djokovic (whether imitation or mocking depending on who you believe) as well as other tennis players including Lorenzo Musetti and even football players, the American has certainly left his mark already on the sport even in his post match antics.
Watch the video below as he capped off a superb win with his trademark.
