Casper Ruud's day wasn't Saturday as he lost to
Pedro Martinez in the semi-finals of the 2024
Estoril Open and also a drone interrupted their semi-final clash which he tried hilariously to bring down.
Ruud had lost a set to Martinez when a drone was spotted flying high above the stadium. Ruud was of course distracted and projected a couple of shots towards the drone aiming to use his precision with a tennis ball to good use.
The umpire assured everyone that the drone would be removed after Ruud drew applause for his efforts in terms of trying to deal with it. They said it would be removed despite not knowing who the pilot was who they then tried to get in touch with.
Ruud went on to win the second set, but Martinez sealed it 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 and will now face Hubert Hurkacz for a potential surprise title win.
