Having already won a record number of ATP Masters 1000 titles, year-end No.1 rankings and a record-tying number of Grand Slam trophies, there isn't much left for Novak Djokovic to achieve.
However, the Serbian was at a loss for words when describing his thoughts on surpassing the records held by Pete Sampras, his childhood idol. In an interview with right before the Nitto ATP Finals, Djokovic spoke on what it meant to him to break all of Sampras' records.
"I try to understand the greatness of the moment" said the World No.1. "But when you're an active players, it's difficult to see the magnitude of things in a historic sense."
The 34-year old added that he would have more time and energy to examine the magnitude of his achievements once he hangs up his racket.
