A legend returns. The Centre Court crowd rises for eight-time #Wimbledon champion @RogerFederer
His record breaking reign as the eight time Wimbledon champion could be tied at this year's Championships by a certain Novak Djokovic but Roger Federer received a standing ovation for his achievements at the Championships.
Heading onto Centre Court before Elena Rybakina started play, Federer had a short tribute video which included Iga Swiatek, Ons Jabeur, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
He then took his seat inside the stand next to his wife Mirka as well as saying hello to Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton who he recently did some work at the Championships with.
After not receiving the send-off after his last appearance two years ago, it ends the latest chapter for the Swiss legend who retired a year ago.
He won't be taking his place in the commentary box though with a never say never but rumours of a BBC role have been refuted.
