Roger Federer made a return to the Halle Open this week in order to be celebrated by the event with a special ceremony for a player who won 10 of it in the past.
Roger Federer spent much of his career coming to Halle ahead of Wimbledon and it rarely proved a mistake. Despite having a very iconic event in Queen's in the same week, Federer simply opted to stay in Halle and he kept playing well at the event for years. He managed to win 10 of those over the course of his career and the event held a special ceremony for the former legendary player.
This was announced leading up to the event and as you expected Federer showed up in style. The stands were packed and the player was showered with applause in a standing ovation meant to celebrate him as a player. The former player was delighted about a chance to return to Halle where he had some very memorable moments over the years.
