Stefanos Tsitsipas received a coaching violation at the Australian Open by umpire Marijana Veljovic but he did not protest it too much.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has received numerous coaching violations in his career and it's nothing new for the Greek. His father and coach is never far away from the action and oftentimes can be seen gesturing and vocalizing towards his son. Umpires for the most part avoid penalizing the Greek for it unless it becomes too obvious.
That is what happened during his match with Benoit Paire when umpire Marijana Veljovic issues a coaching violation to him. Tsitsipas reacted confused unsure of the reason but the umpire explained it:
"I've told you before. I'm going to consider it coaching. In the first set, remember"
