Nick Kyrgios is back to playing tennis, back to winning matches but now he is also winning points with tweener underarm serves.
Wherever Nick Kyrgios goes, eyeballs follow and the Atlanta Open was no different. The Australian kicked off his North American hardcourt swing off with a match against Kevin Anderson and he defeated him in straight sets. Only games into the match Kyrgios attempted an underarm serve but lost the point.
That did not discourage Kyrgios to try again and he did several games later but this time he added a little twist. It was a tweener underarm serve which is something we have seen attempted lately by the 'Underarm squad'. Captained by Kyrgios with members such as Bublik and Davidovich Fokina it's becoming a trend in tennis.
Anderson was once again ready for it but this time he slammed the forehand into the net. Kyrgios loved it and he will surely attempt it again. It appears that the tweener part was the missing ingredient. Check it out below.
