Daniil Medvedev made a winning start at the Rome Open by beating Ruusuvuori in two sets at the event and he revealed what his trick for good play is.
Medvedev is not fond of clay and particularly the Rome clay isn't his favourite. He had skirmishes with it in the past however this year's Medvedev is taking a more serious approach to clay opting to find a way to play well. It seems like he's found a recipe for that in Rome, quite literally as he revealed that he loves the local version of tiramisu.
Speaking to Tennis TV at the event, Medvedev admitted that he can't find a bad tiramisu in Rome revealing that he already had two different ones. It seems like it's working as his level on Sunday was pretty darn good. Almost as good as a tiramisu.
