It was the best of matches for Novak Djokovic in the Bronze medal match vs Pablo Carreno Busta which he lost. The Serbian vowed to give his all in order to win the medal for Serbian although it was not the one he badly craved. And he tried and cared and ultimately was overcome with frustration
His anger resulted in him throwin his racquet into the stands where it remained.

After that, he vented his anger one more time after losing his serve this time smashing it completely. He received a warning for that move after no receiving a code violation for throwing his racquet earlier. Carreno Busta wondered why he was not given a point penalty but the umpire was not in the mood of giving explanations.
In the end, the Spaniard won regardless and Djokovic was gracious in defeat as he usually is.
