Thiago Seyboth Wild sealed a shock win over Daniil Medvedev to almost resurrect the promise shown by the Brazilian at the
French Open.
But it also highlighted the ongoing investigations and allegations surrounding him which he was quizzed on during his press conference.
He is facing a lawsuit in his country but since they came to light in 2021, he is yet to face any charges or further action.
"Without my noticing it, he made me change everything in my life. I started not being able to show a cleavage, I couldn’t even go to the beach to not wear a bikini," said his ex-girlfriend.
She further said:
"One day, he hurt my finger, because he squeezed it until it almost broke just because he got angry. When Thiago got angry, he pushed me, pulled my hair, called me a bitch, slut, garbage, dumb. I lived at home, I didn’t go out for anything while he was travelling.”
He responded to the question yesterday by saying that he didn't think it was the time and place to discuss it.
"I don't think it's a subject we should talk about right here. I don't think it's a question you should be making to anybody. I don't think it comes to you to decide whether it's a place to be spoken of or not," said Seyboth Wild.
"You can write whatever you want," he concluded.
