Elena Rybakina started off her
Roland Garros campaign by playing teenager Brenda Fruhvirotva and the Czech youngster did well earning praise from the Kazakh player.
The result might indicate that the match wasn't as close and while it wasn't particularly close, Fruhvirtova did put up a really good fight against one of the best players in the world. One of the key differences between the player was the power and force with which they played as Rybakina was able to overpower Fruhvirtova in most rallies.
That proved the difference in the match but Rybakina was left impressed with the youngster and the way she played.
Bright future
Rybakina said after the match that she can see Fruhvirtova become very good very quickly because she played really well:
“She played really well. Especially for her age. I don’t even remember what I was doing at her age. I think I was in juniors. It’s amazing. If she keeps going like this, she’ll be very good, very fast”
Both Brenda and her older sister Linda are talented tennis players with a very bright future ahead. Linda actually won a trophy already while Brenda will certainly win one in the future.
