Wu Yibing also known as The Great Wall in
Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) will head to Atlanta this week as the champion in Los Angeles.
The Chinese ace defeated Taylor Fritz, a home favourite in sudden death in LA. Fritz lost consecutive quarters to begin his campaign at UTS against him and it looked like the opposite with three straight won.
But he got the partisan crowd behind him and produced a dramatic turnaround sealing back-to-back quarter wins at 2-2 forcing his fourth sudden death in five matches.
He defended a championship point and closed out the match in a great advert for the format featuring jumping tweeners and superb left handed shots.
But one of the moments of the day also came in his semi-final win over Ben Shelton.
He produced a shot unlikely to have been seen on the tennis tour in true entertainment style. That being a 360 spin forehand showing off his full range and scope of his skills to the fans assembled.
