American tennis player
Frances Tiafoe is currently in Acapulco for the 2023 Abierto Mexicano Acapulco. During a practice session, a young girl professed her love for Tiafoe, which made the tennis player's day.
Tiafoe faces a formidable challenge in the form of Japanese tennis star Yoshihito Nishioka in the opening round of the
Mexican Open. The two players have squared off twice at the highest level, with the American emerging victorious on both occasions. The first encounter took place on the clay courts of Estoril in 2019, while the second was at the 2021 Rogers Cup.
In a practice session in Mexico, a crowd of spectators had gathered to watch the players. Tiafoe was practicing on the court when the young girl began to vocally express her admiration for him. This heartwarming display of affection made the World No.15's day, and he responded with a wide, beaming smile and reciprocated her love.
The Abierto Mexicano de Tenis page shared the adorable video on their social media pages. Tiafoe shared the video on his social media along with three finger-crossing emojis.
The 25-year-old will be hoping for a good outing in Mexico before heading to the Indian Wells Masters, which commences next week.
