After their
victory against Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Rojer,
John Isner and
Jack Sock
joked around.
The
American pair entered the doubles draw of the BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells
with a wild card and had a tough opening match against the third-seeded Arevalo
and Rojer, the reigning French Open champions. Isner and Sock had to fight back
from a set down to defeat the Latin American pair 6-7(6), 7-5, 10-7.
During the
match point that secured their win, Isner hit an incredible forehand winner
down the line, and the celebratory moment became popular because of the
handshake that Sock attempted to give Isner, but which was ignored by his
partner:
In the
doubles round of 16, the American pair will face French player Fabrice Martin
and German player Kevin Krawietz.
