Stefanos Tsitsipas did not play much at the Paris Masters having to withdraw from injury but the Greek is very optimistic regarding his future in tennis.
It's been a good first half of the season for Stefanos Tsitsipas with an underwhelming second half. The Greek player was hoping for a major breakout year but Tsitsipas did not quite have the same level in the 2nd half of the season which is disappointing for him. He still leads the tour with wins on the season while also winning a couple of trophies as well so it's not all bad.
How he finishes at the ATP Finals will be key for him but he is very optimistic about his future in tennis. Talking to the German newspaper Bild, he admitted that he can see himself, Medvedev, and Zverev becoming the next big three:
"Currently, there is only a Big One:
Novak Djokovic. He is still the best in the world. But Medvedev, Zverev, and I are right behind him. We can become the next Big Three!"
As noted above Tsitsipas also praised Novak Djokovic as the only one of the big three currently standing and playing which is something admirable as well. The Serbian is still going strong putting towards a historic season that almost became immortalized at the US Open. Medvedev made sure it wasn't but even so there is a lot to do if the younger generation hops to dethrone Djokovic.
