Misha Zverev closely followed the ATP Finals and he was delighted to see his younger brother lift the ATP Finals trophy.
Zverev has been a seasoned veteran on the Tour who has played against some of the best players in the world, He is also acting as a mentor to his younger brother Sasha Zverev whom he coached a bit during the ATP Finals run to the trophy. There, Zverev was able to see some of the best in the world compete and after the event, he said that tennis currently has a big four.
For him, the most dominant players are Djokovic, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, and Zverev but he was also careful not to forget
Rafael Nadal. Zverev has always admired Nadal and he is not alone in that with Rublev calling him his favorite player growing up as well. Nadal has had a tough 2021 season where he was still able to win some significant trophies like Barcelona and the Rome Masters.
A foot injury prevented him from playing in the 2nd part of the 2021 season but after undergoing treatment Nadal is back on the courts and according to reports looking very good. He will make his comeback at the Mubadala tennis event in Abu Dhabi in December and Zverev is curious to see how he looks. He said:
"We also have to wait and see how things go with Nadal in the coming year. Is he coming back or not? How does he play the clay-court season?"
If Nadal comes back in strong form he will be a dangerous foe on all surfaces but especially clay where he is still the best player in the world by far.
