Tennis star
Holger Rune has seen his play improve after hiring
Boris Becker to join his coaching team, although the Danish star is choosing to remain coy on the changes Becker has brought to the table.
Having begun the 2023 season coached by Patrick Mouratoglou, Rune seemed to be faring well on tour. However, the former World No.4 fell into a slump after the Wimbledon Championships, losing multiple matches in a row before parting ways with Mouratoglou.
Rune refuses to reveal change in gameplan following addition of Becker
The Danish star's game seemed to improve after teaming up with Becker, as he reached the semifinals in Basel a week ago. Subsequently, Rune displayed some spectacular tennis in his opening round win over Dominic Thiem at the ongoing
Paris Masters.
"We will keep that a secret," said Rune when asked about the changes Becker implemented in his game. "You will all see on the court. I think that's important. You cannot have me [with] one opinion, he's another opinion, you have to go in the same direction and that’s we're doing."
