Eurosport analyst Alex Corretja believes
Nick Kyrgios will be dangerous in the
US Open as he's playing the best tennis of his life.
It's not rocket science to claim Nick Kyrgios is playing the best tennis of his life because the results speak for themself. A couple of trophies that include doubles trophies, a grand slam final and numerous quarterfinals simply show that Kyrgios has matured in a proper way.
There is still the old Kyrgios in there somewhere but his tennis evolved into a very dangerous one and Corretja feels it will be on full display in New York:
"Explosive! We're going to see probably the best Kyrgios that we have ever seen because he's got experience from Wimbledon. He's got experience from the summertime, where he's been playing very, very well. Of course, I think he ran a little bit out of gas at the last tournament, but he had time to recover and he's going to be at the US Open super well."
Corretja pointed out a very important thing - the crowd. A proper magnet anywhere he goes, he will love playing in front of the very explosive New York crowd and they will love him:
“The crowd in New York will love him. I mean, for sure, because he's the perfect type of player to play in New York. And New York is show. New York is all about everything. It's huge and Nick suits perfect to that ambience and to that crowd. So I think he could be easily one of the home crowd favourites.”
