Australian tennis star
Alex De Minaur does not believe
Novak Djokovic will have an easy path to this year's
Wimbledon title.
After finishing runner-up at Queens last week, De Minaur spoke about the unpredictability of tennis, stating it added to the excitement of the game.
"I think he's always going to be the favorite, but we're in a sport where anything can happen," said De Minaur in an interview with puntodebreak. "If the favorite always won, it would be a very boring sport. You never know.
"There are many difficult opponents on grass. Novak [Djokovic] is the favorite, but there are many players capable of hurting him and making it difficult for him. He will have to play some of his best tennis, that's for sure."
The Serbian will not participate in any grass court events leading up to Wimbledon, where he hopes to capture a record-tying eighth title.
