Novak Djokovic has once again demonstrated his position as the best tennis player in history. The Serbian has once again defeated Carlos Alcaraz, as he did in the final of the last Olympic Games. This time it was in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

Despite losing the first set, Djokovic did not give up in the face of Alcaraz's high level. The Spaniard, however, completely disconnected and began to accumulate unforced errors. In the end, Nole reached the semifinals after beating Carlitos 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 4-6. A real great match.

On the court, just after the match, the always mediatic declarations of Novak Djokovic were expected like water of May. The first thing the Serb wanted to do was to surrender to Alcaraz, who always makes things so complicated for him.

“With my 2 legs & 2 arms I guess. One & a half leg. First I want to say my utmost respect and admiration for Carlos & everything he stands for,” he said.

“If I lost that 2nd set I don’t know if I’d continue playing… When the medications start to release I’ll see what the reality is tomorrow morning.”

Alcaraz vs Djokovic always tends to happen in big events. Despite the fact that it was the Australian Open, a quarterfinal match felt decaffeinated. Djokovic also spoke about it, stating that he would have liked the match to be the final.

He also joked that his kids shouldn’t still be awake. “Sorry I heard your question. I’m surprised my kids are still here. I love you. Thank you for supporting me. But it’s 1 am. When are you gonna sleep”
