Nick Kyrgios has made his feelings known about his thoughts on clay court tournaments hitting out at ATP organisers for continuing to schedule clay court tournaments after the French Open and Wimbledon.
Kyrgios made the decision to return to the tour at the latter after deciding to skip the French Open having not played a clay court tournament since 2018.
He called it 'detrimental to the sport' that players are still having to play on clay after the swing has concluded.
“Bro, why is there still clay,” he said on Twitter.
“Bringing in absolutely zero fans, zero crowds, zero hype. It’s detrimental to the sport. My god. Excluding Gasquet, because he’s playing for just points, this is just sad man.
“No wonder we are going backwards.”
