Marian Vajda and Novak Djokovic are not working together since the start of this season but the news became public only a few days ago.
It is one of the most fruitful relationships in tennis that yielded numerous titles and a career that many consider being the greatest in tennis history. Obviously, it worked for both of them but as all things end, so did their partnership. Both of them witness several notable tennis moments but when asked about it, Vajda said:
"There are many very memorable moments with him, but if I had to keep one it would be the Wimbledon final in 2011 against Rafa Nadal. It was Novak's first Wimbledon and beating the world number one, to be the next number one. Until then only Federer and Nadal had been winning in London since 2002. And since 2004 only the two of them had taken turns at the top of the ranking."
He further said:
"I could say for the first time that I was the coach of the best player in the world."
