Alexander Zverev has equalled his fourth round performance from last year at
Roland Garros seeing of Laslo Djere in straight sets on Court Phillipe-Chatrier.
Zverev won through 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 with the sixth seed growing into the tournament after his first round scare against Oscar Otte with two straight sets victories over Djere and Safiullin.
Next up in the fourth round will be a familiar face especially to Zverev in recent weeks in Kei Nishikori.
Nishikori saw off Henri Laaksonen in a walkover after the Swiss player had to retire in the second set after losing the first 7-5. Known as the king of the five setters, he won't have to go into their next match with one under his belt.
Their recent history though stems from two matches on the surface in recent ATP 1000 events. The German saw off Nishikori with ease in Madrid 6-3, 6-2.
While in Rome it was 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to Zverev but will it go all the way to a five setter tomorrow or will the former retain his good run of form against Nishikori?
