Former world number one
Boris Becker has recalled playing with
the former women’s world number one
Steffi Graf in the mixed doubles.
Both individuals are two of the greatest tennis players from
Germany having won multiple Grand Slam titles in their careers.
Becker, while responding to a user on a social media app
Instagram, recalled playing with Graf in the Hopman Cup and admitted that his
own performance was not great in that event.
"Indeed! We have played mixed at the old Hopman Cup in
Australian looooong time ago. Steffi was amazing and I sucked!" Becker
wrote.
Becker went on to win six Grand Slams in his career
including three
Wimbledon, two Australian Open and one US Open titles.
On the other hand, Graf remains one of the most successful
tennis players in the history of women’s singles in the Open Era.
She went on to clinch 22 Grand Slams in her illustrious
career in the singles category. Her most successful journey was while playing
at Wimbledon where she ended up lifting the title seven times.
