Jack Sock
and his wife Laura welcomed their first child on social media, receiving
greetings from tennis players like Coco Gauff, Leylah Fernandez, John Isner,
among others.
Former
world No. 8 Jack Sock recently announced his retirement from professional
tennis after his last appearance at the 2023 US Open. The American exited in
the first round of men's doubles alongside John Isner (who also decided to hang
up the racquet) and was also eliminated in the first round of mixed doubles,
partnering with the eventual singles champion, Coco Gauff.
At just 30
years old, many were surprised by the news of his retirement, despite being
away from the top ranks for several years. However, as Jack Sock had previously
explained, he also intended to dedicate more time to his family, especially
with the imminent arrival of his first child.
His wife,
Laura Sock, shared a photo of the new addition to the family and received
appreciation from several prominent figures in tennis, including Leylah
Fernandez and Coco Gauff (both of whom have been his partners in mixed
doubles), his friend John Isner, and the Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, among
others.
"Everyone
say hi to Brody Bryan Sock 🤍 our greatest blessing on
11/14/23," the post was captioned.
“Congrats
to you both! He's so cute!! ♥️,” Leylah Fernandez wrote.
“congrats ❤️ very adorable” Coco Gauff wrote.
"Amazing!! Congrats, guys!" - The official account of the Bryan Brothers, Bob and Mike Bryan.
“Hi! 🤗🥰🥹Just
precious!” Shelby Rogers commented.
Others who
joined were Kim Clijsters, Shelby Rogers, Asia Muhammad, and even Nick
Kyrgios's girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi.
