Andy Murray has shared his hilariously grumpy reaction to his Davis Cup teammate Jack Draper singing on their car ride home from the tournament.

On Sunday, September 17, Murray and Draper celebrated with the rest of their team at the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage event held in Manchester, as Dan Evans and Neal Skupski came back from a set down against French doubles pair Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin to secure Great Britain's place in the quarter-finals of the tournament. This will take place in Malaga, Spain in November.

Throughout the Group Stage event, Draper defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis in Britain's tie with Australia, while Murray ousted Leandro Riedi in their head-to-head with Switzerland. They then watched from the sidelines as their teammates battled for qualification with the French team and emerged victorious.

Draper shares Murray's disgruntled reaction to singing

21-year-old Draper was clearly in a celebratory mood on the way home from the tournament, videoing himself drinking beer while singing the Proclaimers' "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)."

In a hilarious moment, Draper then shifted the camera onto Murray, but the 36-year-old seemed unimpressed, directing a middle finger to his young teammate. The Scot then posted a video of their journey on Instagram with a jokingly moody caption explaining that he had endured Draper's singing for over three hours.

"Kids these days," followed an eye-roll emoji, "three and a half hours of this on the way home," he wrote.

Fans react with amusement

Tennis fans were amused by the interaction between the two players, with one joking that Murray was like the designated driver who's son had just reached the legal drinking age.

"When your son has reached the legal drinking age, and you're the designated driver," they wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Meanwhile, another said that Draper's singing may have put Murray's own kids making noise in the car into perspective.

"Murray with the face of a man who will never complain about his kids making noise in the car again," they commented.
