As reported by Ubitennis, Lorenzo Musetti will soon become a father. The Italian and his partner Veronica will have a baby next spring. Congratulations!
Lorenzo Musetti has revealed that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Veronica Confalonieri, according to Italian publication Ubitennis.
21-year-old Musetti is currently competing as part of Team Italy in the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage held in Bologna from September 12-17. Although the team lost their head-to-head against Canada, they brought it back with a win against Chile.
However, it now seems as though the Italian player has much more to celebrate in his personal life as he and his girlfriend prepare to welcome their first child together next spring.
The couple made their relationship public last December and have since shared many photos of their romantic getaways together with their followers on social media. Confalonieri is a graphic designer who has been working at Sky Sport (Italia) since 2019.
World No. 18 Musetti was born in Tuscany and currently resides in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. He made his ATP main draw debut three years ago in February 2020 and now has two ATP titles to his name. These were both achieved in 2022, at the Tennis Napoli Cup and the Hamburg European Open.
At the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage, Musetti faced World No. 132 Gabriel Diallo in Italy's head-to-head against Canada, but suffered a surprise straight-sets defeat, with Diallo winning 7-5, 6-4 to secure Canada the victory.
However, Musetti was able to find some redemption in his doubles match with Lorenzo Sonego on Friday, September 15, where they defeated Chile's Marcelo Barrios and Alejandro Tabillo. Team Italy will go on to face Team Sweden in the final head-to-head of the event in Bologna.
Fans have taken to social media to express their happiness for the couple.
"Nothing but happiness to them both and their little bundle of joy!" wrote one.
"Congrats to them both! That baby will be a serious cutie," added another.
