Venus
Williams attended Paris Fashion Week as a guest and surprised with an elegant
outfit.
The 7-time
Grand Slam champion has been increasing her presence on the WTA Tour in recent
months. Despite not performing at the level of her youth, she managed to secure
victories against Camila Giorgi and Veronika Kudermetova in recent months,
giving some optimism about her desire to continue her career at the age of 43.
However,
the life of the former world No. 1 is not solely dedicated to the tennis
courts, as she is also a fashion icon who regularly participates in major
events. She recently attended the Chloe Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 fashion
show during Paris Fashion Week on September 28 in Paris, France.
Williams
wore an elegant ensemble from the French luxury fashion house. During the Chloe
show, she donned a midi lace dress in ivory with a high neck and long sleeves.
She complemented the dress with sandals adorned with buckles and stylish golden
metallic heels.
To complete
her look, she effortlessly draped a classic black coat over her shoulders. Her
accessories included oversized sunglasses, a variety of jewelry pieces, and a
compact beige leather mini bag.
The tennis
star also mingled with other celebrities and fashion enthusiasts who attended
the event, such as actress Olivia Wilde, Issa Rae, Kelly Rowland, Barbie's
America Ferrera, and Vanessa Kirby.
The Chloe
Spring/Summer 2024 collection was designed by Gabriela Hearst, who took over as
creative director of the brand in 2020. The collection featured a blend of
feminine and masculine elements, with fluid silhouettes, floral prints,
knitwear, leather, denim, and tailoring.
The tennis
legend will soon travel to Asia to compete in the WTA 250 Hana Bank Korea Open,
which takes place in the South Korean capital, Seoul. Williams received a wild
card invitation from the tournament organizers. The tournament's draw will also
feature players such as Jessica Pegula (4th), Jelena Ostapenko (16th),
Ekaterina Alexandrova (20th), Marie Bouzkova (30th), and Sofia Kenin (31st),
among other star competitors.
