Olympic medals to feature iconic accessory
Tournament organizers recently revealed the new medals that competitors will be vying for this summer, with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishes receiving a gold, silver and bronze medal respectively. In addition to receiving a prestigious medal, the winners will also leave Paris with a piece of history. The medals are incrusted with an 18-gram piece of original iron from the Eiffel Tower, making them even more meaningful. With the tennis event set to be held on the clay courts of Roland Garros, the tournament could favor clay-court specialists, with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and even a healthy Rafael Nadal poised to enter as favorites.
