Tennis is an interesting sport, unique in many ways compared to others. One of the reasons why tennis offers something different is because it challenges players to showcase their talent on completely different surfaces.
There are three types of courts used for professional tennis matches — grass, hard and clay.
Out of the four Grand Slams, two are played on the hard court — the Australian Open and the US Open.
The other two major events — Wimbledon and the French Open — are played on grass and clay courts, respectively.
Out of the three types of courts, it seems that clay is perhaps the most natural one to play on.
The recent report suggests that it is definitely a step above in terms of what it offers compared to the hard court.
It is by far the most eco-friendly of the courts which requires minimum effort to maintain. Clay is also the best one for the players.
It reduces the risk of injuries amongst the tennis players as well it also helps them in improving their stamina as well as their skills.
One more reason why players like to play on clay compared to hard courts is the fact that it is much cooler in nature.
